This workout alternates between high-intensity exercise, yoga flow and Pilates core training. Pilates offers a range of fantastic benefits for both pre/post-natal clients whilst focusing on alignment, core stability, mobility, strength, postural awareness and breathing. These movements assist in developing strength in the deep stabilising muscles; maintaining alignment whilst challenging the core against movement. However, not all Pilates exercises are suitable during pregnancy. In this session, you will learn the various stages of pregnancy, which exercises are ideal for each trimester and how to modify safely. There are no two women’s bodies the same, with this being especially true during and after pregnancy. After the birth we need to be mindful of how and when to incorporate normal activity. You will learn how to incorporate the Pilates principles that will guide your clients easily and safely back to health. This session is the complete pre and post-natal package.
